Free Library Career Center

The Career Workplace is the Free Library's job and career information center for adults. They have a large collection of print and electronic materials that have provided thousands of career changers and job seekers with resources to help them achieve their goals. The Career Workplace hours are Monday through Saturday, 9am -5pm.

Workplace Wednesdays is a series of workshops designed for adult job seekers. Workshops are free of charge and registration is not required (except for Internet Job Searching)

There are workshops in the following career development areas:

  • Career Decision-making
  • Internet Job Searching
  • Resume Development (Participants should bring copies if they have a resume)
  • Resume Critique
  • Interviewing Skills: Putting Your Best Foot Forward

Classes are held Wednesday, 6-8 p.m. at the Central Library, 1901 Vine Street, Room 205.  Call the Workplace Center for a schedule of classes and a brochure. Phone: 215-686-5436
