Dear Consumers, Families and Friends:

We, at The Consortium, Inc. are pleased to have been selected as one of the four agencies to provide Supports Coordination on a citywide basis in Philadelphia.  With this new venture we can continue our relationships with old friends, partner with new associates, and find creative ways to assist people with disabilities in achieving their dreams.

Many of you know The Consortium through our years of service in the community.  We would like to introduce ourselves to others who may not know us as well:

• We recently celebrated our 36th year of continuous service to the community.
• Our tradition of commitment and compassion is still in practice today as more than 3,500 consumers in 18 quality programs in 10 different locations are supported annually.
• Our longstanding linkages to local schools, churches, hospitals, social services and community organizations enable us to address the complex needs of the individuals and community we support. 
• Our service commitment is rooted in respect for the rights of all people to a good education, safe and accessible housing, a real job, and a life not dependent when independence is the choice of the consumer. It is a commitment from which the Consortium family has never wavered.
• We recognize the importance of each person’s culture and values in contributing to the highest quality of life for that person and for the community at large. 

The Consortium is a distinctive provider with exceptional leadership that has served all who have come to our doors through the years. We are committed and promise to work closely with you and your family as you exercise your life’s choices.
