Early Periodic Screening Diagnosis Treatment (ESPDT)
Provides free preventative health care, including referral and assistance in scheduling physical exams, hearing and vision testing, immunizations, growth and developmental assessments, dental exams, routine lab tests, and transportation assistance to and from appointments.  They can provide free eyeglasses, hearing aids, braces and assistive technology. You must have a Medical Assistance Access Card.

Ventilator Assisted Children/Home Program
This statewide program provides support and advocacy to families caring for children who are ventilator-assisted living at home. Their goal is to promote high quality, cost-effective care while supporting families in coping with their extraordinary endeavor. Limited funding for respite care services is available.

Shriners' Hospital for Children - provides free pediatric orthopedic care for children, comprehensive and individualized rehabilitation for children and adolescents, and outpatient services. Any child who has an orthopedic problem is eligible.

St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children
St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children is one of the nation's leading children's medical centers. Temple University’s Children’s Medical Center opened in 1998 and represents the newest thinking in pediatric care.  They provide quality health care by a specially-trained staff who are dedicated to caring for the unique needs of children. Philadelphia Health Centers
The Health Care Centers offer a wide range of primary care and public health services. These services include primary medical care, pre-natal care, dental care, family planning, counseling services and more. In general in order for you to receive service from a Health Care Center you must be able to show that you are a resident of Philadelphia. Advocacy Resources and Supports

Special Kids Network
This is a free, statewide network for families, like yours, with children who have special needs or disabilities. This number will connect you to an information and referral specialist in one of six regional areas.  They can help you get connected to a range of resources and supports services in your community. The Special Kids Network works closely with Parent to Parent of Pennsylvania which links parents of children with disabilities to other parents in similar situations. You can access all of their services through their contact number which is 800-986-4550 for voice or 877-986-5432 TTY.

Find out about the Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Program (CLPPP), access the “Get the Lead Out” hotline, and find out how to get a free lead poisoning test kit from your local health center.

Division of Early Childhood, Youth & Women’s Health
The Division of Early Childhood, Youth and Women's Health  (DECYWH), a division of the Philadelphia Department of Public Health, is responsible for a broad range of health services for young children, adolescents and women. The Division collaborates with Philadelphia hospitals, health clinics and community-based organizations to offer a full menu of complementary health programs.
